I just finished painting my black Trans Am - 2 coats base, 3 coats clear of PPG Deltron...now, I want to make sure I don\'t screw up the buffing...overall, the paint job came out very nice, with a few nibs here and there that I want to eliminate. I purchased Wizards Turbo Cut and Shine Master and I have a Sears 6\" variable speed buffer....can someone help me in choosing the correct pads? Wool, foam, etc? Just want to make sure I don\'t screw this up...

Hey, I have some work to do on my prelly, a few parts I want to respray.

Qweshtchun is how do I respray flexible parts, part needs to be resprayed matt black. Is there a special type of paint for this? Also do I need to remove ALL of the original paint, or just sand it smooth and scuff it up so paint sticks?

An attempt to respray the front Lip & Door Handles as there was NO PAINT there....

Can of paint mixed to color, $30

Can of Clear Coat Gloss - $18

Roll Of Masking Tape - $5

Spray Trigger Thing - $4

TOTAL COST - $57

Steps:

1 . Wash car.

2. Mask up car to prevent overspray.

3. Sand back any shitty areas of paint to primer.

4. Spary 4 coats of paint 5-min intervals.

5. Spray 4 coats of clear 5 min intervals.

6. Sand back clear ...

Ok, air comes in through the filter, then through the AFM (which measures the amount of air coming in so the ECU can calculate the amount of fuel required).

The air is then sucked into the turbo, where the compressor wheel increases its pressure and sends it to the engine. On the way there's an intercooler to lower the air temp, because a by product of the turbo is quite a lot of heat.

Before the air gets into the engine it passes through the throttle body, which is what your accelerator ...

Ive been told that:

0w30 is the best sort of oil, then 5w30 if you really must.

0w40 and 0w50 aren't because of all of the long chain polymers you have to put into them to get the 40 or 50 difference between cold and hot. They will break down very quickly.

what iam after is something that will stop the ticking with my tappets apparently 0W30 is the go?
